Maya H. Choi is an Artist, who paints, takes photographs, does web & book Design.
In 1998, restless for change and new experience, Maya moved to New York and enrolled in photography school. After graduating with honors, she worked as a freelance photographer and from time to time as a photography assistant for the likes of Mary Ellen Mark and Platon, often volunteering in upstate studios to gain exposure to new genres.
Maya has always felt a deep connection with the natural world and incorporates nature into her work whenever possible. In 2009 she rode on the strong wind for another transforming from New York City to Vilcabamba, a small cosmopolitan village in southern Ecuador where she founded EnChantingWind.com, an artistic endeavour focused toward supporting local artists and providing encouragement, harmony and unity for fellow artists.
Maya currently lives on the hill top (The Mountain of EnChantingWind) with her two cats and a dog and is working on the Artists Residence Enchantingwind(ARE) project.
